A Slow Beginning

If you're going me on this blog adventure, I welcome you. My good friend Kate has just started keeping a blog with updates of the novel she wants to write, and it has inspired me to start writing. I've always said that I don't want to assign my students anything that I'm not willing to do myself, and writing is going to be a huge component in my classes. The problem is that I hate writing (Some English major, I know)... But, I think that the more you write, the easier it gets, so I'm starting now.

For now, I've no plans of writing a novel. I just want to write what's going on in my head. This isn't meant to be much of an update on Emily blog, but more of a blog for what I'm discovering as I move forward. Kate has also started keeping a dream journal, which is something else I think is awesome, so I've begun to do the same...I'm totally thieving her awesome suggestions...

For tonight, I can't do too much more thinking. I've got to get up super early (by Emily's standards) to get ready for a day of subbing at City Academy. I'm super excited about tomorrow because I get to be in the ASL classes, which I was specially requested for :)
